Visiting such a plant is surely an acquired taste.
Would’ve been ideal if the plant had information [signs] dotted around the plant - there’s one at the entrance and then nowhere else.
Also half the plant is currently being renovated or repaired - so it was a rather short visit.
Partly open, so it was free entrance. The compressor room was magnificent. More raw as other locations but that was for us the beauty of it. I hope they don't over restore it like other places.
I love abandoned industrial sites even when they are turned into museums. Due to Covid, there are no guided tours, but you can wander there on your own for free. The remnants of the plant look super cool: they are huge, old, rusty - perfect for fallout lovers. =)
Very interesting site of an old factory. Great for photography and a bit of urban exploring. Tours are only in German, i just walked around the site by myself which is completely free of charge. The were only a couple of people when I was there.
Great tour! Promising plans for the future.
Interesting place with historical feeling. Defo good pick for industrial fans
Free of charge with a very helpful gent at the kiosk. Despite only being able to access a smallish part of the plant there is so much to look at, we could have been there all day. The place is huge with some massive industrial machinery and processing equipment structures. Despite being managed, it has maintained it's look and feel of an abandoned monster, complete with rust, peeling paint, overgrown nature reclaiming areas etc. If you usually like a bit of urban exploring or abandoned engineering, you'll get a lot out of a visit here.
Definately recommended to visit this factory is you're interested in history and industrialisation!
Thank you for opening this beautiful piece of history to the public and providing so much information.
